I'm excited to announce my 'from life' series of workshops.

In this two day workshop, you will learn and develop skills in drawing the portrait from the live model, within the fine art studios of 'Workshops in Yorkshire', Skipton.

With demonstrations and regular 1-1 tuition, we will focus on achieving a strong likeness of the subject, while developing form, proportion and precise mark making. You will learn to use a variety of charcoal materials and how you can bring life into the drawing, while keeping detailed rendering.

I will provide some drawing materials and paper, these will include:

Hand toned paper

- Willow Charcoal

- Charcoal Powder

- General's White Chalk

- Faber Castel Eraser

Materials you'll need

- Nitram Charcoal (starter set, link to be provided prior to workshop)

- Sandpaper block for sharpening charcoal.

Lunch and refreshments provided. Please provide any dietary requirements upon booking.
